We currently have openings for
individuals who would like to join us as Roadside Assistance Service
Technicians.
What is a Roadside Assistance Service Technician?
We have contracted with major motor clubs, insurance agencies and car
dealerships (our clients) to provide
roadside assistance, in case of a breakdown, to their customers.
When a motorist needs assistance due to the keys being locked in the car
(Lock-out), a Dead Battery (Jump start), Runs out of gas (Fuel Delivery)
or has a Flat (Tire Change), they contact our clients who in turn call
us to provide assistance. You, as our Contractor, will be dispatched to
the breakdown location to provide the needed help. You are not required
to nor will you perform any repair work.
How
does it work:
-
All Roadside
Assistance Service Technicians are assigned a “territory” within the
greater Atlanta area and its suburbs. You will report to the “spot”
assigned to you within your territory and await calls from our
dispatcher.
-
You will receive a
call or text message on your cell phone from one of our dispatchers
who will provide you with specific information regarding the
location, cause of the breakdown, and vehicle information (make,
color etc.)
-
You will drive to
that location within the estimated travel time (ETA) provided to the
motorist, usually 30 minutes, and provide all necessary assistance.
-
You will ensure
all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and call the
dispatcher to report the status of the assistance provided.
-
You will return to
your assigned spot within your territory and await further calls.
Compensation, Hours and Benefits:
You will be hired as a
1099 contract employee. This means we will not withhold any taxes from
your salary. Federal, State and Local taxes are your responsibility.
This also means we will not be able to provide you medical benefits at
this time.
Compensation is based
on the following:
-
$25 a week towards
the cost of fuel used by your vehicle.
-
$10 for every
service per call. Note: a call may comprise multiple services.
Example: you are called for a fuel delivery, the car may need a jump
start as well, this counts as 2 services and in this example you
will be paid $20.00 (service X 2 = $20.00) Industry average is
6 – 10 calls a day
-
$6 for every call
if the motorist has left the location when you arrive
-
You will not be
paid, unless you respond to an assistance call
-
Annual contract
renewal bonuses after one year of satisfactory service with us.
-
You will be
required to work an 9 hour shift, 5 days a week.
